Our district PD today was a 3 hour video of a keynote given at some conference and before you ask, of course this was an outside edu consulting company that provided this "training" truly comical levels of phoning it in lmao

Every student & educator deserves to learn & teach in well-tempered schools. But, more than 41% of public school districts are in need of HVAC system upgrades. We must ensure schools receive the funding necessary to keep our students and staff safe.

Hot classrooms are highly detrimental to student learning. In school buildings without working HVAC systems, they are also a public health issue.

Today is Day 1 of Year 2 in my role at App State. Year 1 was pretty wild. It had ups, downs, corkscrews, you name it. But at the end of the day I am very thankful to be doing this work in such a special place with such an incredible team!
