🧠💧New preprint out from @CopenhagenNeuro💧🧠 Excited to share our findings: Heightened sleep pressure enhances cerebrovascular oscillations, while sleep depth (N3 > N2) & EEG delta power correlate with respiration- and cardiac-driven brain pulsations 🧵 https://t.co/Ie0EMEv1lH

The waste-clearing flow of cerebrospinal fluid through the brain is driven by cerebrovascular, respiratory, and cardiac forces and is thought to be regulated by homeostatic sleep mechanisms. In a...

🚨 New Data Alert! 🚨 🔬 We've just released a new preprint comparing the acute effects of psilocybin and ketanserin on cerebral blood flow in humans. First-ever in vivo evidence that psilocybin constricts the internal carotid artery! More details here:

On Monday we had our midterm meeting for @Serotonin_h2020 in Copenhagen! It was great to catch up on ESR's projects in the poster session. Plus, we had pleasure to hear about translational research in psychedelic research and attend a workshop on reproducibility in research🧠

They buried the lede on this new study. It's not that exercise beats out SSRIs for depression treatment, but that *just* dancing has the largest effect of *any treatment* for depression. That's kind of beautiful.

Ever wondered why psychedelics have such long-lasting therapeutic effects, even after a single dose or two ?

New hypothesis generating paper out on a woman who scanned herself 30 days in a row off the pill then the next year, 30 days in a row on the pill. Findings include that her functional brain activity was consistently more modular when off the pill. https://t.co/JLRByH2uOo
