Congratulations to the 1st criminology cohort at Brunel! We were exceptionally proud to celebrate with all our students, and also very happy with some exceptional NSS results for our first cohort, with a 96.3% overall positivity rate. Well done everyone!

Fantastic results (again) from the NSS 2024 about our lovely colleagues in @BrunelSMCJ
The NSS 2024 shows outstanding results for @BrunelSMCJ. In the overall rankings of London universities Brunel Sociology is in 1st place, Media Studies in 5th place. Nationally, Sociology is ranked 6th, Media is ranked 39th (Media is up 48 places from last year!)

Some great pieces in the latest Probation Quarterly including the piece from @matt_tidmarsh about why probation is feminised and some reflections from our very own @mattcracknell85 about why people serving short prisons sentences are too often invisible. A great issue!
In amongst loads of great contributions, I have a couple of pieces in the latest Probation Quarterly. The first speculates on why probation is ‘feminised’; the second is part of a broader commentary on the probation ‘reset’
