FACTS:
(1) Human life begins when the first cell divides into two.
(2) A single woman can prevent having an unwanted baby by not having sex.
(3) A married woman can often prevent having an unwanted baby with contraception.
(4) If an unwanted life happens, adoption is an option.
I dislike personality politics, that is, following a candidate because of "charisma" or "flair." I definitely prefer principle politics, that is, knowing what you believe and finding the best candidate with the best qualifications and principles. Ron DeSantis fits all of mine.
Folks, I'm 81. We have two Presidential candidates who are about my age. I, like them, struggle with speaking fluently. Because of that fact, I wouldn't make a good President. We need a younger, more-fluent, mature President. Ron DeSantis is the most-qualified, young candidate.
DeSantis supporters, Ron can be nominated this July. Consider this scenario: Trump is convicted by at least one of his criminal trials in March or May. The RNC decides to abandon the primary and open the convention to all candidates as in 1952 except for Trump. Ron wins! Vote!
@America1stLegal
In other words, Stephen, you're asking us to pay Trump's legal bills even though he's getting a large windfall with his Truth Social deal?? No way.
Please read the following letter I just sent to my U.S. representative and the Republican National Committee:
As a registered Republican living in Michigan, I'm concerned about the future of our party. Let me explain.
If Donald Trump becomes a convicted felon by any of the…
@BidenHQ
It seems that Trump could never empathize with human weakness, an important quality to have. President's should have it. He shouldn't return to the White House.
Iowa caucus-goers supporting DeSantis, the Trump followers will try to outshout and be noisy to buffalo you. Don't let them; it's time to be strong and very assertive by sharing the many positive qualities of Ron DeSantis!! Take a qualifications and accomplishments list along.
Mark your calendar or set your DVR for the Fox News townhall with Ron DeSantis Wednesday evening at 6PM EST moderated by Bret Baier and Martha McCallum!! Nikki Haley is Tuesday at 6PM and Trump Thursday at 9PM. It's odd timing since more people watch at 9PM than 6PM. Favoritism??
I saw that anti-DeSantis commercial again on a Chicago Bulls broadcast. It is short, and I've never seen so many lies in such a short period of time. He is the best candidate, but they try to make him look like the worst. It would almost make me to vote for him, it's so bad!!
I hear people talking about forming a new Conservative Party that would be a thinking-person's party instead of the MAGA-Republican Party. If the Republicans are dumb enough to nominate a convicted or a potentially-convicted Trump, I would be open to the idea! DeSantis would win!
@GeneChurch1776
Though I voted for Trump twice, I will write in DeSantis' name in the general election, if Trump's name is on the ballot!! The more Trump talks, he disgusts me because of his third-grade-like tactics and style.
I find it very strange that people are deciding who to vote for in November now in March months before the Conventions. I'm waiting to see if Trump is convicted and if Biden is replaced for someone else.
Why do people obsess about superficial, unimportant details about politics? Who cares about Trump's mugshot? Why do people really care about Vivek's perceived "wiping the floor" with the other debaters? I care about the issues and the candidates' positions. DeSantis will win!
@HellBentVet
Yes, when we help other people out and we do for Jesus, it's what he said was "love," a commitment to him to sacrifice ourselves for others the way he did by dying for us.
For a candidate who suspended his campaign and who supported the presumed nominee, Ron DeSantis received quite a few votes in 13 states during Super Tuesday: 136,215 votes!!
DeSantis supporters, especially Iowans, remember that the last poll said that 25% of Iowa caucus-goers can yet be persuaded. So pray for the words to speak that will persuade them to vote for Ron as the candidate with no legal or other baggage, except, perhaps, cowboy boots!!😀
Iowa DeSantis supporters, we admire your courage in braving the cold by attending the caucus tomorrow. After all, you will be imitating Ron's great courage in opening his state and keeping it open against all the cold political winds that blew against him in the pandemic.
@RobertKennedyJr
Robert, will you defend the right of unborn babies to live? Will you make the federal govt. smaller and decrease the regulatory burden on small business? Will you stop Biden's spending spree on climate change? Will you spend less so we can keep paying the interest on the debt?
Floridians, I have the impression that some of you are going to vote against your governor in order to keep him as your governor and not become the President. If that's so, I say that he might already be in the lead when your primary happens. Be unselfish and let the USA benefit.
@weirdooo_sprite
Abortion is an option, but it is the taking of a developing human life. Therefore, it should be taken only if the mother's life is in danger, which is rare. We have laws against taking others' lives. I would extend those laws to the living humans attached to wombs.
@LochnerWalter
@debra_anzelone
No, he should go to jail until he pays it like in the old days! He can sell his skyscraper overlooking the Chicago River that has the big letters TRUMP on it.
I just learned that only 16 of the 55 Michigan delegates were chosen in the primary, while the rest will be chosen at the state convention on Saturday. Trump got 12 and Haley 4; DeSantis got over 13,000 votes even though he has suspended his campaign. Mine was one of them.
@TomManess1
I already voted for Ron DeSantis absentee in Michigan to get him more delegates in case Trump is disqualified due to a little matter of being a convicted felon and so that Ron can rise from the suspension ashes to the nomination.
If you've liked the tweets or whatever they call those things that I have posted, please follow me. That's the only way I'll get of "X" jail, because I can't follow anyone now due to some algorithmic quirk that says I don't have a good ratio between the followers and followings.
If a winter thunderstorm can happen here in West Michigan, Ron DeSantis can be nominated at the Republican Convention. Good logic, right? Well, the first event happened this year, why not the second?
@MS_Sambo_
Endorsements and celebrities seldom make any difference in elections. People mostly vote because of pocketbook issues. I say that from 60 voting years of my 81 observing the political scene.
@RonDeSantis
Good for you, Ron!! I've been trying to inform people on Twitter (X) and Facebook about you since you announced your campaign. Many on X support you, but my FB friends don't seem too interested in politics. I'll keep trying, because you're the best candidate by far!!
@Unfilteredboss1
Please vote for the best candidate, not the most popular or the flashy ones. When you consider all the education, training, and experiences of the candidates, as well as their accomplishments & positions, you have to come the conclusion that Ron DeSantis is miles above the rest!
@Knizek_Stephen
We are NOT a cult. We have all come to a rational decision based on real reasons that Ron is the best candidate with the best qualifications and positions. If we find a better candidate, we will change and support him/her.
@ImpartialObser1
@Based_Jas
No, a convicted felon should never be nominated nor elected to be President, no matter who he/she is. In that case, the will of the people would be wrong to want a criminal to be our leader.
@mstraton2
Mark, here is a quote from 538: "DeSantis is a natural candidate for an upset; last week, a FiveThirtyEight/Washington Post/Ipsos poll found that 51 percent of Republicans said they are still considering voting for him."
@Wojtek11993399
I still hold out hope for an open convention because of Trump's convictions. In that case, Ron could still be the nominee. As a ten year old boy, I watched the non-primary, 1952 Republican Convention, where five candidates were nominated with Eisenhower winning the nomination.
@ShorbaNation
@RonDeSantis
@realDonaldTrump
Ron DeSantis is the better candidate between him and Trump! If people would just stop and use their reason instead of their emotion to determine their choice, they would see that Ron's experiences as a veteran, a congressman, and a governor with a respectful style are far better.
@GeneChurch1776
I am a retired pastor. I think this video is disgusting, since it puts words into God's mouth and almost makes Trump our spiritual leader. His hatred is clear in his Christmas wish that his "enemies" roast in hell. Please support an committed Christian, Gov. Ron DeSantis.
@DustinMcelreath
Yes, I was deeply disappointed that Ron suspended his campaign, but I see hope if Trump stumbles over four trials in March and May. Otherwise, it's on to 2028!!
CORRECTION: Nikki Haley's townhall on Fox News is tonight (Monday) at 6PM EST, and Ron DeSantis' townhall is tomorrow night at 6PM; Trump's is Wednesday Fox News opposite the debate between DeSantis and Haley on CNN at 9PM. I will watch the Tuesday Fox and Wednesday CNN events.
@robbi_fahey
So, do you want Trump to be our next president?? After reading this analysis, you probably won't support him anymore. In fact, after voting for him twice, this is why I turned away from him to support Ron DeSantis!
DeSantis supporters, the primaries are fast approaching. We need to vote for him so that if Trump falls down his high hill into the abyss of legal judgment against him, Ron DeSantis will have a plurality of delegates at an open Convention, if the RNC isn't crazy. Ron would win!
@Watcher3x
@DustinMcelreath
@ACES7012
No, he hasn't; he's been doing the governor's work remotely between campaign stops, because he can "digest" huge amounts of info in short periods of time.
@FacksAreFacts
@GovRonDeSantis
I'm still with Ron regardless of his suspension of his campaign, and I along with many of his supporters are going to vote for him in the primary. He couldn't see a path to the nomination and followed through on his commitment at the debate that he would support the nominee.
@Pickledfins
BB, yeah, Gov. DeSantis shut the state down for a month until he looked beyond D.C. swamp's ideas to Sweden and Britain to discover that COVID was what experts are saying now, no worse than the common cold. Then, he courageously opened businesses & beaches up and opened schools.
People saw Trump and his followers using negative names and labels for his opponents so often for the last eight years that they think such talk is "normal" politics. It isn't "normal" for any President to act so immaturely, the way children act. Vote DeSantis in; Trump out!
Iowa caucus-voters, if you vote for Trump and if he is convicted of any indictments, as seems likely, you will have voted for a future convicted felon, who may be our first Prison President! Think about it, and switch to decent Ron DeSantis, who will be a great President!!
@grumpyolman21
I'm thankful that God has given you peace. Death can be very scary, but with God working for us through Jesus, we have a glorious entrance into heaven. Say hi to my late wife, Winnie, when you get there.
@CaryLetsche
Ron is "backing" the nominee whoever that is; that's the pledge that Ron signed at the first debate. Apparently, that nominee will be Trump, but we'll see what surprises politics brings us. I'm waiting until the Convention actually nominates the nominee. It might not be Trump.
@ambereyes69
@DogginTrump
Wait, {amber}, you're deflecting from Trump's actions. Isn't it wrong for him to threaten the prosecutor and others connected with the trial as witness tampering or something? Answer that question, please.
@1984IN2023
I will help you who posted that post to increase your knowledge. Biden is not affected by my primary vote, since he isn't on the Republican ballot. Ron suspended his campaign but did not suspend my vote for him as the best candidate by far.
@jgalan707
@OccupyDemocrats
How do you know, Jose? If the evil is of his doing, as it might be, Trump should be convicted and punished regardless of the motivations behind the indictments. Juries of citizens will decide if the evidence is clear enough.
@Silkypearls
Melissa, it's the same with me. I vote based on the candidate's style, positions, and plans for the future, not blind loyalty to the person. Ron DeSantis fits all those factors much better than Donald Trump does. It's as simple as that.
I lived on a reservation where gangs recruited children beginning in fifth grade. Donald Trump's gang reminded me of them. One gang leader demands loyalty and renounces anyone who would criticize him in or out of the gang. Does it sound familiar? Get out if you're in it!
@justredpillme
Apparently, she questioned the 2016 election but didn't act on her opinion, whereas the question to be answered is whether or not Trump acted on his questioning of the 2020 election. If he did try to overturn it, he is guilty. I don't think he did, at least not with his speech.
@JosephPino_
@RonDeSantis
You are wrong, Joseph. Ron DeSantis is NOT the establishment candidate. By all accounts, he is his own man and makes decisions, not because of some establishment, but for the good of Florida and will for the USA, when he's President. You depend on polls too much.
@ScottforFlorida
@realDonaldTrump
Rick Scott is right in saying that it's time to come together to unify around one candidate, but he was wrong about that candidate's identity. That man is Ron DeSantis if we want true change in America!!
@ReOpenChris
@GovRonDeSantis
You have to understand that Ron is an honorable man with integrity, a rare commodity during these days of cutthroat politics. He actually does what he says he's going to do! Go figure!!
Pew Research Center says: "More than 80% of the public polls used to track key indicators of U.S. public opinion, such as the President’s approval rating or support for Democratic presidential candidates, are conducted using online opt-in polling." Most are bogus polls! Beware!
The Georgia indictment of Trump being crime leader just got a lot more interesting with an interview of a false-elector in Michigan, who admitted that Trump's lawyers met with her and other false-electors to get them to falsify documents saying that they were true 2020 electors.
Now is Lent. It's a time when Christian believers prepare for Good Friday and Easter, the days when we celebrate the historical events of Jesus' death and rising to permanent life. Why? Because, by them, he has given us forgiveness and the new birth to believe in and follow him.
What does America want for a President: an old showman, an old man, a shouter, or a young man who focuses on the issues and the ways he is going to solve them? DeSantis for President!!
