And we’re speaking to more and more people who have ended up in hospital after taking black market jabs. This is unfortunately - the tip of the iceberg.

What is being sold out there also varies widely. From pens much like the ones you’d get from a pharmacy - to pre-filled syringe needles in plastic bags. Some tested had semaglutide in them but often at much stronger concentrations than is safe.

Reminder: It is illegal to sell prescription medication in the UK if you are not a licensed medical professional, pharmacy or GP. It comes with a maximum sentence of two years in custody.

Sadly this investigation done by myself @TRJourno @Connor_HandLBC and @fhall1998 - shows this problem is not going away any time soon. Demand is outstripping supply and criminal networks are out to profit from people’s desperation.

The House of Commons Justice Committee has written to government ministers Lord Timpson and Sir Nic Dakin, challenging their claim that resentencing of those under the Imprisonment for Public Protection (#IPP) sentence would result in prisoners being “released automatically”
