I started at help desk and was able to get multiple promotions over the last 3 years and landed a senior role. Being in help desk exposes you to so many other parts of the company if you allow yourself to branch out.
I have a question Tech Twitter within this current job market do you think people who want to transition into tech should consider a help desk role? In the DC area, you can land a role making 65k-79k. Short-term it may be a good look. Then, get a six figure Cloud or Cyber role

When I fuck up, I refuse to throw myself into a cycle of guilt or shame. I take full accountability, see where I need to change my behaviors and work towards that. But, blaming myself and beating myself up for LIVING & LEARNING???? I’m allowed to make errors too.

Being a people leader isn't for everybody, but I genuinely enjoy it. I love watching my team grow - supporting them thru their weaknesses, and helping them accentuate their strengths. Most of all, advocating for them when they can't do it for themselves.

I just told myself that I was going to take a mental break from looking for a new job. Then I had my 1x1 with my dept VP. As soon as I discuss project requests, as usual, he reacts like I'm an idiot for thinking of them, even though their HIS directs' requests. So yea, nvm that
