I like Easter, watersheds, the sound of wind through leaves, and very cold winter nights. Pointing out the quiet good things.

Walked over to the Customer Service ladies to ask a question and Connie gave me a pumpkin bar. We are winning today.

Pastor mentioned a letter Luther wrote to his six year old son, in which he encouraged the boy in study and prayer with a metaphor of Heaven as a garden where children play under all kinds of fruit trees, ride ponies, and play with crossbows. I felt encouraged as well.

Absolutely bonkers story about Somalian immigrant communities in Minnesota over-diagnosing their own kids with autism so that they can funnel billions of Medicaid dollars back to terrorist cells in Somalia.

It's interesting how your thought patterns adapt. In my present work environment, I've been impressed at how everyone seems to have developed the ability to handle different problems for different customers/part lists like they're just opening the correctly labeled drawers.

Bringing it back to the start, I haven't tussled with our Unitarian grandma friend. I'll be ready when the occasion comes to talk about deeper things than the raspberries ripening, though. Perhaps I will be speaking the truth to her just when she needs it, too.

I have gained encouragement in many different areas, not the least of which is in carefully watching myself to make sure that I'm not steering away from Truth in an attempt to be liked. Even if I haven't been as bold as I'd like, every step away from cowardice is good.

I do believe that I would never have even listened seriously to the Stone Choir podcast if I hadn't been forced to hold it up to a foil character, which made me really ponder where ideas & opinions were coming from, and where they led. https://t.co/2e9imrdcUd

Most modern Christians have bought into the cultural argument that the provenance of ideas does not matter, but this is not the Scriptural view of things. God is deeply interested in genealogy — an…

In fall of '22, we had just moved to a far more liberal area, trying to find a faithful church. God provided a sweet, kind, older neighbor lady who was just smitten with our little girls BUT who is a Unitarian lib. He also dropped in the polar opposite in podcast form.

I've been listening to some of the older Stone Choir catalog. It's interesting how ... bland... a lot of it seems now that I've been thinking about it for three years instead of hearing it for the first time ever.

Don't use aluminum for food, guys. Also don't use glass unless you can independently verify its source (not recycled and NOT BLUE.) It goes without saying don't use Teflon, but don't use ceramic "non-stick" either - it's just silicone. On that subject, avoid silicone utensils if

If you’re a hot lady you should find some old veteran today and give him a show, if you know what I mean. It’s the least you can do honestly. Don’t be such a bitch all the time
