I went to dinner last night with a dentist/periodontist. She was saying they are having to do major extractions on very young people bc of the damage vaping is doing, and bc vaping starts so young. They had to extract all the teeth of a 25 year old 😳 @CaseyCostelloMP

When I met with @IKEA representatives a few years ago, they spoke positively about their preference to work with mana whenua and Māori, they were actually looking forward to it. They celebrate that IKEA engages with Indigenous communities globally. Most people aren’t anti Māori.
Great to see IKEA finally open its doors in Auckland. But we've made it harder for IKEA than it needs to be. IKEA had to jump through layer upon layer of resource consent requirements before they could even start work. The screenshot speaks for itself.

The Coalition of Chaos is living up to its name. Now they're planning to cut 81% of the Emergency Management team at the Public Health Agency. @nzlabour understands that #PublicHealth expertise and emergency preparedness matters. Being less ready for future pandemics,

The staff cuts will see reductions to emergency management, pandemic preparedness and Māori health.

Biggest cut from the emergency management team, going from 11 roles to just two, and from Māori Public Health, which could drop from six staff to two. Another attack on Māori. Also why emergency management? Have they been in NZ the last 5 years? https://t.co/A4sOAfCwbp

Ok so question about annual leave. If you work 3 days a week (0.6 FTE) and your annual leave entitlement is at 3 weeks, is that leave calculated on FT weeks or 3 day weeks? Would your leave be up to 9 days or 15 days? 🤔

So Health NZ is too centralised, apart from the Māori parts which need to be more centralised. Honestly what the fuck is wrong with these people

Good job. I had a booking in the Coromandel with them and when Cyclone Gabrielle hit they decided I should still drive down there WHILE there was an evacuation notice in place and people were leaving in droves. Never again!

Truth comes out at #NZ parliamentary committee hearing: that there are 8 charter schools with 427 students: an ideological adventure into education paid for with money which should be supporting public education system. Govt wanted to suppress rolls info https://t.co/MSzDjC8zFg

The number of enrolments had been kept under wraps after the agency told the privately-run, state-funded schools not to reveal their numbers while still setting up.

What an absolute disgrace that an organisation like Youth Inspire in Upper Hutt, who work to find jobs for unemployed youth is no longer being funded. 10 years of vital work in the community, now cancelled. Saving a few dollars is it? Shameful. @LouiseUpston
