Why High School Band is Cool Here’s how surprisingly cool a Kenny G concert is -- even when compared with Zeppelin and Springsteen. It’s not what he plays. It’s what he says. https://t.co/RpatAjZBF8

April Fool’s Day is a goofy holiday for most people. But my Mom loved April Fool’s Day so much, she’d plan ahead for it. My blog column this month is about friendship and laughter. https://t.co/Exioft9HC0

What's Hot Magazine (Syracuse) has an article on the Motown-like band I play the saxophone in. It nicely captures the fun personalities of these guys. I'm lucky to be playing with them. Here's the story and a blog post about it. https://t.co/ExiofsS6Ks

Most "How to finish your thesis" advice is pretty obvious -- even if we don't follow it. Here's five pieces of dissertation advice I heard that were 1) nonobvious, 2) doable, and 3) specific. More in the blog https://t.co/JiVrRCz8nH

It's great to see a person with a mission: "Make all non-sax songs illegal" is one I wouldn't have expected.
Every song needs ‘80s sax added to it. Plaintive sax. Wailing sax. Romantic sax. Put that sax in Good 4 U. Montero? Needs a sax break. My https://t.co/zDErY7osU0 petition will make non-sax songs illegal.

The True Health Initiative just conducted one of my first interviews in the past three years. A basic overview of mindless eating solutions, how to make your kitchen more COVID-proof, and some new stuff. Lots of fun and lots of ground got covered. https://t.co/8RPThQFNJv

Thank an overlooked mentor. A nice way to get into the Thanksgiving spirit.
An easy way to make an overlooked mentor happy is to call and say "Thanks." Great week to do so. Here's how to make it go smoothly: https://t.co/h4roPVohi7

The world's foremost Restaurant Menu Engineer, Gregg Rapp, passed on yesterday at 62. Here's a link to him on the Today Show talking about how restaurants engineer their menus to influence what we order https://t.co/AUXOD92CzS

Gregg Rapp was one of my very closest friends, and he died yesterday in Palm Springs. My 3 daughters made a Word Cloud poster for his 60th birthday two years ago. It's scary to think of the unvarnished way middle schoolers might think of us. They nailed him perfectly.
