Although controversial, a lot of these measures are essential to reducing congestion and emissions in cities - Frequent, Reliable and Effective Public Transportation upgrades has to come in tandem with any and all of these measures.
Government won’t “at present” pursue more controversial suggestions to cut transport emissions. But public sector parking will be reduced where there is good public transport. Also in these areas, minimum parking requirements at public buildings will be removed and on street 1/2.
