Well, after being on the phone for 25 minutes and 24 seconds, @gobrightspeed lost conmection. Just trying to pay my bill which is ridiculous. They can't recognize my account but can send a late notice. Time to DROP them

The project to repair and replace sandbags along NC12 on the north end of Ocracoke Island is now underway. While work is in progress, there will be a short single-lane closure monitored by temporary traffic signals. Please drive with caution and slow down while in the area.

GREAT NEWS! NC12 is reopening on Ocracoke Island, so ferry service will resume with the 2pm departure from Hatteras and the 3:30 pm departure from Ocracoke. Keep in mind there is still sand and water on the road, so SLOW DOWN on Ocracoke when you get there!

Good afternoon, Ocracoke Ferry Ops have resumed departures as follows: 1pm departure to Cedar Island and 1:30pm departure to Swan Quarter, the 4:30pm continues to be canceled due to shoaling issues in Big Foot Slough. For more info call 252-996-6200
