Dr. Gladys West, the first woman to receive the Prince Philip Medal in the 30 years since it was presented for the first time. For #INWED21, later this month #AshfordMuseum will be celebrating the birth in Ashford of pioneer woman engineer, Verena Holmes.

Members of Ashford Borough Museum Society gathered to thank Curator, Ian Sharp when he relinquished the role of museum Curator. Chairman, Richard Yeates thanked Ian for his 10 years of service to the Museum, and presented him with a Rifles bugle major’s parade stick.
