A shout-out to Jeff Rogers at KXCI-FM @KXCIofficial - Jeff, this is your friend Fred Mills listening to your show over the actual airwaves, as we are back in Tucson. I left a voicemail for you on the main line with my phone number. Meanwhile, more Trudell - miss him always.

Loved today's Velvets trib, @wncw @wncwMartin - that CJs cover of Sweet Jane always slays me. Here's an image of a semi-related VU / REM project I oversaw all those years ago, including the original (later corrected) typo.

Loving the Jerry Jeff Walker, who we lost last week, set from @WNCW. I’d totally forgotten that Bromberg had covered “Mr. Bojangles” - am I allowed to say here that It’s always Bo Time for this tune? Damn, 1968 seems so far away now.

Early 90s when he was opening for the Cowboy Junkies at Ovens Aud. In Charlotte NC, he joined the band onstage and I swear the adoration pouring forth wasn't just from the audience - it was from the CGs, too. Pure magic. Torch passing, too.
In honor of John Prine’s birthday today, we’re asking everyone to share a special memory, a favorite lyric from a song, or simply send him birthday wishes from your social media channel using the hashtag #IRememberEverything.
