The production committee gave them a ridiculously tight schedule and they didn't have the manpower to do it even if they wanted in that time + the staff also moved on in different projects like the moonrise movie so not like they moved to remake either

is an exception, the ep kicks off with an amazing H2H combat between Lucci & Luffy, the way they used Lucci's rokushiki technique & luffy's flexibility is brilliant!!

They dropped it bcz the schedule was too tight for wit to do , so mappa picked it and gave it to hayashi team who were working on dorohedoro before that (they didn't take 4 years just to make aot) meanwhile the wit aot staff moved to other projects. So they didn't drop aot for op

The way I see it, the ones who can't seem to see that there's over-animation for some of these episodes are the woke in animation --sentiment driven mostly by empathy/walking on eggshells around animators. It's not healthy for the industry to withhold feedback. Creates bad era.

The S4 part 1 was released on fall 2020 (12 eps) and the staff started working on it in late 2019 while the director hayashi was still working on dorohedoro ,it was a hell of a schedule...mappa being mappa pulled through bcz they had the manpower which wit didn't
