Thoughts are with all of our frontline users with aircon that's long overdue a regas. Also those policing events in sweaty carriers, where the air con is loud enough to be the helicopter, but nowhere near as powerful. Don't forget to have a Cornetto. 🍦

Good luck searching for it, or pinching and zooming around trying to find it. It's why we've built an easy to use junction search - making it quicker to find incidents, using the same language control rooms and frontline staff already use.

"Fight at Ockendon Road, junction with Southgate Road". It's often difficult to know how to spell a road name when hearing it rapidly fired to you over the radio. It's why junctions are often used. Was that 'Okondon Road', 'Okenden Road', ..?

But there are lots of other factors to consider. Is slow speed due to congestion that a blue light vehicle can overcome, or physical road characteristics where blue lights have less of an advantage?

The speed of other vehicles is a good indicator for how quickly an emergency vehicle will be able to travel down the same road.

Lots going on behind the scenes to integrate @OrdnanceSurvey 's average speed data into our routing algorithms, as we fine tune ETA calculations and further improve optimal route selection. As we get data from more real world blue light runs, the model only gets better.

We’re excited to announce an even more niche version of Blue Light Maps, tailor-made for long-neglected police dogs. Recent cuts to dog units mean there simply aren’t enough officers available to drive the dogs to emergency calls.

🚒 Responders using Google Maps are often directed to avoid the 'closed' motorway... 'closed' because of the crash they're trying to get to. 🚀 Our app can now that find the closures that really matter to frontline emergency service workers.

What do Southampton, Bristol, Cambridge, and Greenwich all have in common? 📸 They’ve all introduced or announced new camera-enforced vehicle access restrictions in the last *week*. 🚨 The time savings in using our app that understands your exemptions are only increasing.

Buildings in Greater London, Ordnance Survey data. I particularly like how clearly you can make out the runways at Heathrow. Definitely nothing to do with an upcoming @BlueLightMaps release. #30daymapchallenge

It seems nothing is off limits for state hackers. 📋 I'm hearing that ambulance crews are increasingly having to resort to more manual forms of dispatch during outages. 🌐 As we build out more advanced online capabilities for Blue Light Maps, staying 'offline first' is a key
