Anybody heard boo about the Pleasure Ridge Park @PRP_Athletics or Todd County Central head football coaching vacancies?. The @KHSAA Dead Period ends in under 48 hours, football season kicks off in 45 days, and unless I'm mistaken, those two programs still don't have a coach.

Kenney Shields is a 1960 graduate of Covington Catholic where he was a 4-year letterman in both baseball & basketball and was a basketball captain his senior year. He has been inducted to the CCH Hall of Fame. Here are a few pictures from his time at Co Cath. @EvanDennison1

To the KY high school teachers/coaches (or anyone who knows legalese better than I):. Will this provision in the newly enacted SB181 mean that teachers/coaches STILL CAN communicate with students via social media on a case-by-case basis IF given written parental consent to do so?

David Justice @23davidjustice (#25, standing at center) led all high school players in Greater Cincinnati in scoring in the pre-three point era 1981-82 basketball season with 26.5 points per game for @CovingtonLatin. Also averaged 5.5 assists per game that season. @EvanDennison1
The 14th of our 50 NKY sports icons is Covington Latin grad David Justice. It's a remarkable story that turned a Thomas More basketball scholarship into a 14-year MLB career that included two World Series rings.

Yikes. lots of rumors flying around Northern Kentucky regarding this one. Supt. Mike Stacy announced his retirement 10mos into a 3yr contract worth approx $775K. Beechwood's attorney has stated the decision was made entirely by Stacy. Plenty of rumor mill fodder though.
Beechwood Superintendent Mike Stacy—who announced his retirement back in March—has now been permanently barred from renewing his Kentucky teaching certification. Statements made to LINK say that this inquiry stems from a 2022 criminal investigation.

3 months have passed on this one and we're still waiting for word about who will be head coach of the Panthers football team in 2025. Pleasure Ridge Park opens their '25 football season in 67 days with a road game against the defending 6A state champs, Louisville Trinity.
Pleasure Ridge Park has fired their 2nd head football coach in 2 years. In Nov '23 they fired head coach Tommy Williams after 7 years as the Panthers head coach, and now they have fired head coach Brandon Dunn after 1 year on the job. Tough sledding.

Jason Schum @jason_schum, who served as interim head coach for the North Bullitt football team last season, has been named head football coach at Western High School in Louisville. Schum has also previously served as an assistant coach at Bullitt Central.
