HES HOME yes home lol. No holding this boy down. 28th pneumonia in his wee life and hes kicking its ass. Itll take 4weeks for lung consolidation to properly clear but hes stable on room air and fit enough to be home. A million thanks to every single person.

What a ten days it's but look at our warrior.
Blake had surgery to correct a twist in his bowel, fix hernias, refashion his ileostomy and move his mucous fistula.
We are so grateful for Blakes surgeon Mr Brian McCormack and all the staff here.

Still 3000grams weight to gain but we will do this so in the meantime hes rocking 2 tubes and HOME.

Can't even put into words how the last 48hrs have been. On Thursday I found Blake unresponsive and had to perform cpr. Its every parents nightmare.
Thankfully after a few breaths he gave me enough indication he was responding but is now in hospital going through alot of tests.

His giant challenge and hes gained 600grams which is FANTASTIC.
Another 3015grams to go but hopefully on right track. Alot of long term plans in place and we even have a plan for HOME (Well in 10 days).

Blake is stable and there have been clips applied to the area to stop the bleed. There's a large hematoma at the site of the bleed also so a few more tests to keep an eye and alot of drugs.

Yesterday brought us back into hospital. Unfortunately he has lost more weight and had more gut problems. As you can see hes very thin an needing to gain weight but as hes nil by mouth we have to try an tube feed as much as he can tolerate.

Being attached to 2 pumps 17hrs a day is draining, Blakes pretty much confined to bed during this.

Blake's heart appointment was AWESOME. Best condition and function they have ever seen his heart. Which opens a window now for him to have his double hip surgery (Jan 2019).
Only downside was blake will need open heart surgery every 8-10yrs but onwards an upwards.

We remain in hospital trying very hard to get weight on Blake an sort his wee system out. We are tired, he misses home and his dogs but we will do this.
We have to be patient and let blake recover an gain weight.
