@CoachR_Allen 10. Last one, and maybe the most important: COACH AAU. You want to be a head coach?.Start coaching like one. Coach 13-year-olds. Coach 17-year-olds. Good kids. Tough kids. Unreliable kids. Figure out who YOU are. You’ll miss a lot. You’ll learn even more.

9. s/o to @CoachR_Allen “Don’t be afraid of Confrontation, the best coaches are confrontaional” . Not in a disrespectful way — but in an honest way. Great teams don’t avoid the hard stuff. They run toward it. Hold players accountable. Hold yourself accountable.

8. ASK QUESTIONS. This summer, I reached out to 3 coaches with great offenses. Built 3 versions of my own. That changed everything for me. Watch film. Live on Synergy. Use Hudl.

7. USE SOCIAL MEDIA AS A TOOL, NOT A TOY. Follow coaches who post great content. Connect with your league. Study others in your division. It’s not just networking — it’s scouting and learning.
