if you’re earning let’s say an average of £45k-£50k … the most you’re getting lent is about £225k .. with that knowledge and dependant on your deposit amount , you’re buying a house valued at £300k max! A SINGLE person on that salary! Won’t have more than £50-70k saved ! !

Speaking as a zillenial who works in politics I actually think we need to organise collectively outside of politics, that means unions avid grassroot orgs because electoral politics is finished
The social contract in this country has been torn to shreds, and Boomers just keep demanding more… younger workers (Millennials, Gen Z, etc) are getting a RAW deal.
We are becoming the largest voting bloc in the UK… we actually need to start becoming more active in politics.

Growing up in a single parent household also completely threw out the 'division of labour=womans thing' to me, because it truly enabled me to see no job is a man's/womans. Even in my own place now I can do a lot of 'traditionally male' things
I think growing up in a single parent household I aimed to be in a position to be able to earn enough on my own to take care of a modest household (modest in meaning no fancy cars or 3 holidays a year, just me and my kids taken care of)
