Ponyville's most premier fashion designer, "Rarity." After traveling Europe and apprenticing with the haute couture visionaries of France and England––under the persona of a Shanghai socialite––she returned to the states a reinvented woman, leaving behind her past.
Pokemon Concierge proves that stop-motion is a fantastic direction for Pokemon. When you're stuck in 2D shonen, there's barely any space for worldbuilding through rhopography. Locations are spaces built for the convenience of protagonists to move through and fight.
My partner and I challenged ourselves to redesigning the My Little Ponies as realistic humans from the early 1900s Americana (no dyed hair or neon skin, era-approp. clothes).
So here's Rainbow Dash.
Every couple months, an art meme like this pops up and I'm obligated to throw my hat in the ring. But this is probably the stupidest oc-ification I've done. Sorry Sunset fans, I don't know who this is either.
This silly little Lumity animation I did years ago and accidentally posted the DAY Dana confirmed Amity's gay.
It's been stolen and reposted without credit on so many different platforms, I've lost track and have given up on reporting.
Im bored so let's do something artists,
What is a drawing you think you're iconic for? and let people reply to you what drawing they think you are iconic for
Added Fluttershy, a self-proclaimed recluse living alone in the outskirts of Ponyville, though she's by no means unfriendly by any stretch of the definition. A lover of animals, a hater of complex social situations.
Rarity's real name is 華琳琅. First name "Linláng," which means glittering jewels and is used in metaphors for something beautiful and precious. Surname "Huá," which means magnificent/beautiful.

Rosita Piedra (nicknamed Pinkie), Ponyville's favorite dancer, musician, festival-planner, baker-in-training, and vaudeville & burlesque performer! Her hyperactive energy's matched only by her love for the community.
Someone replied to my recent art post with this as some sort of 'gotcha' but holy shit, you could not have picked a shitty comic where the "good guy" looks more like me if you tried. That's just me IRL on the top left. Really confuses the call out.
I don't think we talk about how bonkers incredible Craig of the Creek's character design is. Every single character has something incredibly interesting and unique going on while maintaining a great design direction.
Remember when the Splat Twitter released official Valentines Day art of Agent 3 and 8, but deliberately changed their genders in both pieces to be straight, despite 99% of previous promos, trailers, and artwork having them both be female.
How To Cheer Up Your Nerd Girlfriend 101, by Amity Blight
This animatic's been a long time coming, just in time for the TOH special premiere, so enjoy! Takes place before "For The Future," obviously.

I’m glad Tokyo Godfathers has gotten so much attention this holiday season, but I urge people to check out the 2020 GKIDS dub. It improves a lot of the language surrounding Hana, has a trans voice actress play her, and has some really impressive performances. Everyone kills it.
Thinking about Tokyo Godfathers. If you haven't seen yet, I cannot recommend it enough.
Some of the best character animation in any movie, amazing fusion of trad/digital techniques, strong art direction, both hilarious and heartbreaking, and REALLY ahead of its time.

Something I miss about the 2010s online art space are webcomics; especially fan webcomics. Nobody really makes them anymore. The feeling of finding a 100-chapter on-going Gravity Falls comic on Tumblr with the little ‘next’ and ‘previous’ page links is unmatched.
Thea Sullivan, Ponyville's newest resident librarian and witch-in-training! She's as smart as a whip, with a tendency to fly off the handle at moments of high stress. Now if only she could get her nose out of a book long enough to make some friends...
Trixie is canonically Chinese-coded!
The MLP game is doing a Lunar New Year starring Trixie! She's wearing a tangzhuang with a customary red/gold palette. Her bag also seems to have a coin symbol and a knot––possibly a cloverleaf knot, which means good luck.
