Mourning Eva Schloss today, Holocaust survivor and tireless campaigner. Grateful to have had personal time with her and to pass on by word of mouth what she experienced at Auschwitz, including her encounter with Josef Mengele. Holocaust denial is a denial of humanity itself.

Can't say how poignant this card is, inspired by a Ukrainian girl who wrote: 'Dear Santa, I hope you are safe and well and...are not hit by a Russia rocket'. Spare a prayer for children caught up in war tonight: innocent and yet having to be brave and mature beyond their years.

The replacement is lined up, so if you think Liverpool's form couldn't get any worse...

Slavery in modern Britain is indigenous as well as imported. I wrote this dark psalm, in all its despair, as a plea to God for the voiceless young people whose lives are sold and abused down county lines #AntiSlaveryDay @SeeOfRochester

Great to be with @bennettmemorial for Founders' Day today. Especially to meet year 13s and be reminded we are raising some wonderful young people - kind, curious, astute - and so grounded. Thank God. @SeeOfRochester

Yet on the other hand, watching Mo Salah clap his late colleague Diogo Jota in front of the Kop until his eyes brimmed and overflowed with tears showed the beauty of male friendship, inter-racial love and human dignity. It will be a defining image of a season only just started.

As a Liverpool FC fan, I'm appalled by the abuse of Antoine Semenyo last night. But why are people expressing surprise we still have a problem? Racist dog whistles are always followed by howls of prejudice. And these whistles are on the rise, practised by people of influence.

On VJ Day, remembering my late dad who left his northern seaside home as a teenager to serve in the far east. One of thousands, some of whom never returned, but part of a cohort who did, and whose work ethic and integrity made everything better for following generations.

Faith can't succumb to fatalism or the hacking of Revelation to interpret the end of all things as code for nuclear war. We are called to renew the face of the earth by Jesus' resurrection. Nuclear War A Scenario: the book that imagines the inconceivable

Legacy test cricket is the real thing; even better than the real thing. Fresh expression The Hundred simply can't touch it. Thank you, England and India. And English and Indian cricket fans. So, can we have our August back now?

Encouraging to visit probation officers in the SE region today. Complex and increasing workloads being met by professionals with a sense of vocation. Thankful, too, that smart @DavidGauke is advising nationally on greater use of community sentences @SeeOfRochester

For all the counter arguments, a core purpose of legislation is to protect the voiceless and most vulnerable; fragile older people who don't speak up and are disempowered in an ageist society. Today, Parliament has failed in this task.

Both @JonathanRGibbs and @BishopTonbridge have been appalled to hear the news shared today by The Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem of another attack on the Anglican-run Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza which has killed 5 people. 1/3

Praying for Roman Catholic brothers and sisters everywhere today and giving thanks for the generous life and evangelistic witness of Francis. What service to the end. And what timing. @SeeOfRochester

For all those in church leadership this Easter, four things: 1. It isn't down to you 2. It never was 3. But you'll be amazed to find out just how much God did in and through you one day 4. You and those you care for are loved with a universe-busting cross of love @SeeOfRochester

OK, I'm Lancashire and into cricket, but why has Jimmy Anderson - the greatest pace bowler in the history of the game, just retired - not been knighted in the New Year's Honours list? @jimmy9 @LancsCCC

Is it OK to pray for the death of a dictator? Informed prayer should be short on controlling advice for God but strong on the promise the mighty will be cast down from their thrones: https://t.co/7Zknb7iKsv

I hope and pray the harrowing Netflix series #Adolescence helps to change the national conversation round toxic masculinity and does for misogyny what ITV's Mr Bates versus The Post Office did for the Post Office.
