We celebrated at our 2020 Heelan Graduation at Memorial Field. Speakers told graduates they would change the world. They also honored Keaton Chicoine, who should have been there, but died in a tragic out-of-state hit and run accident Thursday.

We sadly share the passing of Heelan Librarian Sr. Colane Recker who came to Bishop Heelan over 20 years ago. Sr. Colane loved Heelan & her new high school library. She celebrated her 60th jubilee with Dubuque Franciscan Sisters in 2019. A Cathedral service will be Nov 24 @ 10.

Fr. Shane Deman, Heelan Chaplain, will move to Kenrick-Glennon Seminary in St. Louis in August to be vice-rector of 131 seminarians. We are sad but applaud the role he'll play with formation of future priests. Fr. Shane will inspire others & leave a big imprint on Heelan hearts!
