I’m not up for the grind of coaching but I should come up with an off season player development gig. I love teaching the position. The techniques and mindset matter. I don’t know much, but I learned from the best and I absolutely know this!

I’ve noticed over the last couple of years that there are lots of coaches/programs college and pro that have zero idea concerning OL player development. So many missed opportunities to engage more players, inspire greater participation, focus and to give them meaningful reps.

Key phrase “he hasn’t proven it yet”. So how can you call him great or a generational talent? Y’all be tripping.

This sounds like a record with a scratch and the needle has been stuck in it for years. Next year or the year after, it’ll just be another player doing this dance with Jerry. Jerry gonna Jerry; therefore, the Cowboys gonna Cowboys.

The problem’s been twofold:.❌ Missed on the picks .and/or.⚠️ Broken development system. The OL is where the most ground can be gained & if they improves, it elevates the entire team. That’s why the OL is THE critical element that determines whether this team succeeds or fails.

They tried all last season to get AND keep him motivated to no avail. Maybe this is an attempt at that and at having reinforcements if he falls back. Two preseason games don’t cement all in confidence. Plus the OL has had its share of injuries over the last two seasons.
