Education is not about “user experience” as you described. What did you learn? What job did you get from your degree? This is what you should compare 🤦🏼♀️
@Bibliothecaire3 I’m just comparing user experience. 🤷🏻♀️.

Two different educational institutions. Sydney Uni is a “traditional brown stone” so you are comparing chalk and cheese 🤦🏼♀️.
Just out at Macquarie Uni and it’s sooo noticeable the difference between it and Sydney Uni re: being designed FOR students. Macquarie is all fairy lights, colour, tables and chairs outside and inside, vending machines, grassy spaces. I can’t even get a chair at USyd library!.

Will this be a new cult
I dream to make a small self-sustainable community off the grid, have self-reliant supply of food, energy, life necessities; build its own school, hospital, etc. based on a continuous pursuit of what is best for learning/health/happiness, augmented by artificial intelligence.

This is wonderful news to those who finish and are able to find employment. Others are just raking up a debt that follows them for decades. Remind me again why this is a good thing!.
In one western Sydney school alone, 85% of students have received early entry into uni. Remind me again why we have the ATAR?.

Good Luck! I completely understand this situation. You did the right thing.
Last week I handed in my notice to a school I was soooo excited to start at in September. This year has been a hard lesson that sometimes a school just isn't the right fit, & ultimately my happiness has to come first. Hopefully one day I'll see that I've done the right thing 🤞🏻.

Absolutely! It was terrible. My kids hated me going. The majority of teachers had honest conversation realising I understood schooling as a teacher. But the odd one got up on the high horse! We have to do better as a profession.
Being a parent at parent teacher meetings is excruciating. Has anyone else had this experience? I feel like I have to pretend I don't know anything about teaching and learning so I don't come off as one of THOSE parents.

Possibly a different angle is needed. The effects of literacy are complex and start before school most based on wealth and education of parents “Mathew Effect” Libraries are so much more than literacy outcomes!.
Great article today in @couriermail drawing attention to the critical need to reverse the reduction of teacher librarians in Qld schools or risk long lasting effects on child literacy & critical thinking - thanks @QldSLA for the advocacy #StudentsNeedSchoolLibraries

Or just pure stupidity!.
@r_nd_rgh I would suggest that Hatties influence has come from the centre not twitter.
