Today a man yelled obsenitites at me during my run, even though I was at least six feet away from him and alone. Why? I wasn’t wearing a mask. This is becoming a daily occurrence for me in my DC neighborhood. Twitter is becoming real life, and it’s not pleasant.
I have an autoimmune disease that makes the vax risky for me. I also have natural immunity. Yet in NYC I'm not welcome, and that city count is growing. Operating my business is becoming extremely difficult due to my health issues, and I never thought I'd say that in this country.
When the topic of abortion comes up, so does the discussion of babies w down syndrome. Those who think they shouldn’t live are discriminating in the worst way & missing out on a blessing. Ppl like my cousin Dave are some of the most joyful people I know and a gift to this world.
ACB becoming the next SCOTUS justice is a big deal for women because she got there due to her qualifications and not because of her gender. It's the true definition of feminism.
I was in DC for a week. What is evident is people are living in a drastically different way than SC residents. I had numerous DC locals ask me, "What is it like down there?" It's almost as if we're living in different countries. But, the reality is, we are.
I am unvaccinated (have an autoimmune disease), and I do not expect or want vaccinated people to be masked. Elected officials, choose differently. You're not "following the science" and you are, in turn, pitting Americans against each other.

this afternoon. One can only hope and pray that the families who suffered while he and his administration profited will have justice in the end.

@VP
, do I have the right as a woman to wait till clinical trials are done on people with autoimmune diseases before I get the vaccine? Or will you try force me, regardless?

Kamala Harris: "The right of women to make decisions about their own bodies is not negotiable. The right of women to make decisions about their own bodies is their decision, it is their body."
There are no memories of my dad picking me up from school without Rush playing on the radio. I know I’m not alone. RIP, to a great American and a radio trailblazer.
After 97 years, my grandmother went to her final home early this morning. I took this photo as I sat with her yesterday. My wedding ring is hers—The one that my grandfather gave her when he came back from WWII. I pray I use my hands as well as she did in this life.
DC is already opening up their arms to the Bidens when they didn’t for the Trumps. Expect to see a lot of women’s magazines heap glowing praise on the First Lady when that wasn’t afforded to our current First Lady.
For clarification. I moved from DC to SC last year. But I travel for work and am becoming limited as to where I can travel based on the restrictions. It hinders my business operations.
I supported Operation Warp Speed because I support the right to try. The Covid vaccine should have been treated as such with honest info of what we did and did not know. Instead Americans were villinaized for having reasonable questions, some proving now to be right.
@cvpayne
Most powerful speech of the convention. I didn't know the entirety of her story till now. It underscores how David Dorn's death was ignored. As hard as it must have been, I'm so glad she shared--America needs to hear it.
Why is the Surgeon General talking about censorship at all? His job is to provide Americans with scientific health information, not give political analysis.
Since moving to SC, I’ve received brownies, pumpkin pie, offers to help move furniture, and an invitation to the neighborhood bible study. Southern hospitality isn’t a myth.
I love how an airline asks you to practice social distancing as you exit the plane, even though you all have been sitting next to each other. Can we stop the charade, including the masks?
One of my favorite photos since it includes my now husband who I didn’t even know last year at this time, my niece who finally smiled in a photo (she’s not a camera girl😁) and my nephew who had open heart surgery one month prior and made an amazing recovery. God is good.
Ted Cruz made a mistake, but the most interesting part of the story is the lengths the press will go to to find out if he's on an upgraded flight list, his flight times, his hotel accommodations, and texts from his wife. We could have used A LOT more of this on Andrew Cuomo.
In the past month, scammers have come to my door, between my neighbor and myself our cars have been vandalized three times, men have exposed themselves to me, and I don’t leave my house after dark since it’s not safe. This is DC.
@MattWalshBlog
I can also say that that many women I know make more than their husband and wish it were the opposite. Being the breadwinner is hard for both man and woman. But many times it’s the only option. I can’t tell you how many women I know who say they wish they didn’t have to work.
So because I have an autoimmune disease and waiting for clinical trials (also have natural immunity), the former Secretary of Ed thinks that I’m just as bad as suicide bombers. Got it.
The juxtaposition of the President talking about saving people through vaccines, yet ignoring Americans struggling to get out of Afghanistan is something.
Biden saying, "No amendment to the Constitution is absolute" right after saying "Nothing I'm about to recommend in any way impinges on the second amendment" is contradictory to say the least.
PSAKI: "The reason why the price of gas is going up is not because of steps the president has taken, they are because Putin is invading Ukraine."
Gas prices rose $1.14 from Biden's inauguration to the day Putin invaded.
Tonight is my last night in DC after 20 years. I’ll be back appx two times a month for work, but the District will no longer be my home. I’m sad, but I have peace.

“What these findings make clear is that more than 500,000 restaurants of every business type—are in an economic free fall,”
As of today, 17% of restaurants—more than 110,000 establishments—are closed permanently or long-term.
Watching the D-Day vets jump in France makes me think of my grandpa. He watched it from the air 75 years ago. So thankful for him and the many other men who sacrificed so much for all of us. Miss you, grandpa.

Doocy: "But there are people living paycheck to paycheck. There are now people out of jobs...It's been 12 days since Gina McCarthy and John Kerry were here. It's been 19 days since that EO, so what do those people who need money now -- when do they get their green jobs?" (2/2)
I spoke against President Obama and Trump using executive orders, and I’m speaking against President Biden already issuing 40! executive orders in less than two weeks. One person should not be making major decisions for the rest of the American ppl.
I won’t be allowed in many venues in DC beginning Jan 15th. Cities who are imposing these mandates make no medical exceptions for people like me who have underlying health conditions.
Transgender 'Jeopardy!' contestant, who is a biological male, congratulated for 'becoming the woman with the highest overall earnings in the show's history'
I moved to DC with only $400 in my pocket. I now have a thriving business. The American Dream is still alive. To say otherwise is not only factually wrong but damaging to potential future entrepreneurs.
Kristen Gillibrand has one of the least cringe-worthy 2020 campaign announcements thus far, but telling Americans that achieving the American dream is "impossible" is pretty negative and false. Maybe
@washingtonpost
can fact check her on that.
Real talk. My dad has an autoimmune disease (I have it too). He’s struggled with it for years, but it has taken a turn since he got vaccinated to the point of crippling pain. I was in support of him getting vaccinated, but I knew it was a risk. We all have to weigh these risks.
This wonderful man, my Papa, went to heaven today. He was one of the best men I knew. He loved God, his family, golfing,
@Bojangles
, and was still driving at age 102 (😳😬)—he really was one of a kind. So thankful that I had one last visit with him on a Sunday.
Not long ago, if you wanted to fund the police or secure the border you were called a racist. If you wanted to get rid of masks and Covid restrictions you were called a killer. But, Biden says it's okay now. These are the new rules.
Found out yesterday that I have COVID. Yes, I’ve been careful—I work from home and only have interaction with a few people...mostly fam. Just praying that my dad, who I saw earlier this week, was not exposed since he has underlying health issues. Thanks, China.
As we, sadly, but undoubtedly, are headed towards more polarizing times let’s keep the friendship of RBG and Scalia in mind. It’s the model we should emulate.
I highly respect that she did this, and I assume that he has wonderful things to say about her as well. We'd all do better in this country if we focused on each other's humanity.
“Justice Thomas is the one justice in the building that literally knows every employee’s name, every one of them. . . . he is a man who cares deeply about the court as an institution, about the people who work there — about people.” - Justice Sotomayor
Fairfax Co. Public Schools wants you to know it is not happy that any children are learning through pods. While FCPS "can’t control these private tutoring groups, we do have concerns that they may widen the gap in educational access and equity."
Thanks for sharing, Katie. The amount of people who’ve reached out to me following this interview explaining how scared they are is sobering. We must not treat the unvaccinated, many of whom have underlying health conditions, as second-class citizens.
Thank you
@BeverlyHallberg
for your important voice on vaccine mandates. Everyone should watch this, especially the bullies and those who want to eliminate “the unvaccinated” from society.

What’s so sad to me is that some people are just now living in their new normal post covid. The majority of the country has been there for over a year.
My dad who is an avid sport’s fan posted this on Facebook today:
“I’m done with professional sports. I will no longer give my time and money to see our real heroes disrespected.”
I wonder how many more Americans are making the same decision.
My tax money goes to educate children. Even though I don’t have kids I believe it’s in the public interest for kids to be educated. But if my tax money is going to teachers and school systems who refuse to teach, can I move my tax money to parents so they can find an alternative?
I’m often asked if I miss DC…the city I moved to at age 20 and lived in for 20 years. I miss the old DC, but I do not miss what DC has become. The new DC is a mere shadow of what it was.
The defitinion for “believing women” has changed. Dems are now saying it means “taking the woman’s claims seriously” and “the truth is what matters.”
If that was the definition during the Kavanaugh confirmation I would have agreed. But it wasn’t. Truth wasn’t the goal.
Joe Biden on past comments about believing women: "From the very beginning, I've said believing women means taking the woman's claims seriously...Women have a right to be heard and the press should rigorously investigate claims they make...In the end, the truth is what matters."
Pro Tip: Project your voice
Not only will you sound more engaged, but your facial expressions will follow the energy. Vocals and visuals are tied together.
Pro Tip: Don't talk about Hitler or the holocaust unless you are actually talking about Hitler or the holocaust.
Don't think people should be cancelled for making these analogies, but they generally are not helpful to the argument.
Between Kamala Harris insulting rural Americans, Biden’s hyperbolic voting speech, and TX state legislators taking a private plane to DC to avoid voting, it’s been a horrible PR week for Dems. Shockingly, I don’t even think they realize it.
We are seeing in state after state, one person deciding the boundaries of daily life for everyone else. State legislatures—the body of elected officials—should be making these decisions. I hope the lawsuits continue.
