Good to see significant delivery of more new social rent housing in the City Centre, Didsbury, Chorlton, Newton Heath, Moss Side, Gorton, Moston, and Wythenshawe featured here. In 2026, @McrLabour will continue to build the new social and affordable homes that Manchester needs.🏡

Good progress on 1,000s more new homes in Manchester in 2025, including over 750 new social, council, and genuinely affordable homes. With over 1,500 further affordable homes on site, and another 2,000+ with planning permission - more to come in 2026.🏡🌹 https://t.co/jBjTGcqFrR

2025 saw investment right across Manchester. From building more social and affordable homes than in over a decade, investment in neighbourhoods from Moston to Wythenshaw, to some of the biggest regeneration schemes in the country. Roll on 2026 👏🏼 #manchester #newyear #2025

Life doesn’t start at 9.30- so why should older people and disabled people have to wait? @McrLabour Councillors have written to @AndyBurnhamGM to make permanent the hugely successful trial allowing free bus travel before 9.30am. Back our campaign 👇🏼

Day 17 🌹🐝🎄: The Tories & Lib Dems in Government disproportionately cut funding to Manchester, and other poor Northern cities and towns. We saw almost £500m cut from our budgets. Today the Labour Government has announced that they will fund communities on the basis of need.

Labour is ending the Conservative Party’s callous cuts to local government. We are putting more money into cleaner streets, thriving high streets, libraries and roads. That is the difference a Labour Government makes.

2026 will be a big year. We in Labour must make and win the argument together that our progressive politics is changing peoples lives for the better. We must stay united, beat the politics of division and hate and overcome the challenges ahead.
