Day 17 🌹🐝🎄: The Tories & Lib Dems in Government disproportionately cut funding to Manchester, and other poor Northern cities and towns. We saw almost £500m cut from our budgets. Today the Labour Government has announced that they will fund communities on the basis of need.

Hope and light will always overcome the darkness. Tonight on the 2nd night of Chanukah we came together with the congregation at the Heaton Park Synagogue.

As we light the Chanukiah, our thoughts and prayers are with those murdered in the terrorist attack on Bondi beach today, their loved ones and the whole Jewish community. Light will always win over darkness.

2026 will be a big year. We in Labour must make and win the argument together that our progressive politics is changing peoples lives for the better. We must stay united, beat the politics of division and hate and overcome the challenges ahead.
