Today a jury convicted Muhammad Syed of First Degree Murder. It took the jury less than two hours to reach a verdict.
In 2022, Aftab Hussein was ambushed with an assault rifle as he got out of his car near his home in NE Albuquerque. Syed will be sentenced to life in prison.

A judge sentenced Derek Foote to 18 years in prison.
In 2015, Derek Foote hit the victim so hard, she lost consciousness and ruptured her eardrum.
He then sexually assaulted her. As she tried to get away, Foote pushed her, causing her to fall and hit her head on the concrete.

In September, a jury found Barragan-Lugo guilty of 7 counts of Criminal Sexual Penetration of a child under 13,

Agents say October, 1992, Valenzuela sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl, grabbing her as she came out of a convenience store, threatening her with a knife and raping her.

A Bernalillo County Jury convicted Jose Montes of Armed Robbery.
On November 26,2021, Montes robbed victim at gunpoint at a Northeast Albuquerque neighborhood while the victim was doing work on his home.
Montes will likely be sentenced in 60 days.

Today William Diaz Jr. pled guilty to being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm and pled no contest to Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
