I am shocked to discover that the candidate who campaigned on building a city where people can afford to live has thoughts on bringing down transportation, childcare, education, and housing costs for working families. It's pretty damned refreshing if you ask me.

I have nothing against the other candidates running for #VA11, but I saw how hard @sgpekarsky worked to get the junk fee bill passed. She's the real deal. As working families continue to get crushed by record high prices, I cannot think of a better person to fight for them.

There was a group of folks at the VRE station thanking federal workers this morning. You could tell that it was appreciated but a little awkward. Federal workers don't do the job expecting praise, they do it because of a commitment to service over self. The mission matters.
