Wondering if some of yall know what paying for a mass deportation would do to this economy you keep claiming will get better… ballpark, this costs at least $3 billion. Can’t imagine that will do anything good to the bottom 90%.

Cutting federal funding to schools and dismantling the system that brought us to the top and allowed us to recover in less than 2 years after the pandemic will do nothing but LIMIT schools and the American Education system. Some of yall really failed the assignment.

In 2018, we were first. In 2022, we were the median at 22nd. In 2024, we are back in the top 30% at 12th. Do your own research. Since the pandemic, our educational policies which have been in place for decades have allowed us to rebound.

Some schools went virtual, but many households didn’t have reliable internet access. Districts with enough infrastructure were able to provide internet to students, but even in those districts that didn’t happen until MONTHS after kids had already been out of school.

Why was COVID mishandled here??? Our president at the time fired and disbanded the committee who had plans in place to deal with a pandemic. Mass infection and death caused schools to shut down and freeze grades. Kids were out of the classroom for over 6 months in some states.

We are actually not ranked last, we are ranked 12th among 44 “developed” nations. That’s in the top 30%. We were first in 2018. What huge event with a massive effect on schools happened between 2018 & now? COVID.

No matter what happens, it saddens me deeply that rape, felonies, trying to overthrow our democracy, misogyny, racism and transphobia are somehow not deal breaks for 10’s of millions of Americans.
