❤️ hearing these words. This is what service integration should feel like #4NTkids
#4NTkids digging deep today to unpack what it takes to create a wrap around system where we end up with this outcome….seamlessness that is invisible to the user! @Randall25262 @collabforimpact @kiteysimpson

The last QLD-based privately operated correctional facility has now transitioned to public operation. This historic transition means that QLD is the first jurisdiction in Aus & one of the first globally to transition entirely away from privately operated correctional facilities.

"Everyone shines, given the right lighting". What are we doing as leaders to give the right lighting to our team members and colleagues? What a powerful thought @sherrillknezel

Tearing children away from their families does not help them learn from their mistakes, it just causes trauma and harm. Governments must #RaiseTheAge and invest in the solutions that actually work - strengthening families, providing housing, and wrap around services.
Some of the children are via video link from detention centre in Perth, and the Magistrate’s let the families gather up around the courtroom camera to wave and send love to the boys, because it’s their first time away from home.

A challenge from the enduring leadership of Australia's #FirstPeoples: 'What is the system? Every time the Government changes, the system changes. Ours never will.' #ChangeFestNT21

How to start - with this idea. It's often not that simple, but it's the asking of the question that changes our way forward.
An institutional radical asks ‘what is the community alternative to my service and how can I resource it?’ They precipitate action that’s led BY communities. Most reformers lack the courage this requires, they ask: ‘what can we do WITH communities to coproduce better services.

As a columnist, you try to be topical. Four Corners was three weeks ago. But in this case that's the point: every time the issue of sexism in Canberra is raised, it’s quickly rushed past, then forgotten (by men). This week's column @smh @theage

Many times I feel proud of being born on this country. And sometimes I just feel shame at our inhumanity. I appeal to @PeterDutton_MP and @ScottMorrisonMP to use your power with wisdom and humility. They will already be tormented by this, give these poor kids a chance. #auspol
Dear friends, today marks another milestone for Nades, Priya, Kopika and Tharnicaa. Today it is 1000 days since this beautiful family was snatched from their home in Biloela in a dawn raid by Mr Dutton's Australian Border Force.

such beautiful and poignant words @MoiraWere. You are a true gem - I was particularly struck by the notion of circularity and 'single-use' actions. I suspect I am only beginning to wake up to my role in the things I seek to change. Circularity = skin in the game.
