It was a real pleasure to celebrate the completion of the first of 275 new homes at Calverley Close in Beckenham. These 20 houses, delivered by @RiversideHO and Vistry, are at social rent levels and part-funded by @MayorofLondon following a ballot of existing estate residents.

On Saturday we had teams out across Crystal Palace, Clock House & Penge. I’m proud to be supporting some brilliant Labour Councillors & candidates across our constituency ahead of the elections in May. We’ve got a fantastic local party & I’m looking forward to the months ahead!

It was great to join Laura and Dawn from L'Arche UK in Beckenham yesterday. Their fantastic allotment project enables people with learning disabilities to enjoy nature and build meaningful friendships. I’m working with them to secure funding so they can reach even more people!

🎾 Beckenham’s Lucas De Gouveia is just 14 but already represents Team GB in wheelchair tennis and just won the Junior US Open Quarter Final! It’s been a pleasure helping him to secure sponsorship and raise the profile of parasport. Wishing him good luck in the Semi Final!

Politicians talking down London do so because they can’t stand what London represents. London is a success story. An economic powerhouse where transport is improving, crime is falling, creative industries thriving. People move here because it’s the greatest city in the world.

We were delighted to meet today with @LiamConlon2 Liam presented our CEO, Steve Smith, with a cheque for £1.6million, part of the current Government hospice funding which he has been advocating for in parliament. Thank you to Liam for this amazing support!
