Sliding is the worst rule in football. It’s the most dangerous play in the game for both the QB and the defense. Pick literally any way for a QB to signal he’s giving up other than making him lean back with the back of his head unprotected from smashing into the ground.
You shouldn’t be able to slide tackle into peoples shins that late and get a flag Remove sliding from the game - make QB’s go down early and often or let them get hit like any runner That’s the ONLY way to protect everyone and officiate it well
