I really enjoy @AdamMGrant posts. Its perspective that matters. Its a choice how we look at our outlooks on life. Gratitude is my choice.
Disappointment comes from knowing things could be better. Gratitude flows from knowing things could be worse. We don't control events, but we do choose our outlook. Where we focus shapes how we feel. For most people in most places, this is the best time in history to be alive.

What I love: going back to my last district and seeing a former student and their parent. The parent is genuinely happy to see me and the kid says nothing but immediately gives me a hug. He may have not known it but its what I needed that day! #principalslife @KSPrincipals.

This! Absolutely! What I see in kids is the difficulty to view their own behavior through someone else's vantage. These questions ask that of students whether they are the person whose behavior was challenging or from the person harmed by another. #TraumaInformedPrincipal.

A sad day at EJSHS, the iconic cottonwood tree behind the gym cam down the other night during the storm with 80 mph winds. It was well over 100 years old. School and community members came together to get it off the roof and building. #OurOldTree
