So Russias success comes from copying what NATO does. And now we want to go back and copy their outdated, ineffective methods as a responee? It makes no sense.

Another “fun fact” is that Russias successful strategy of obstacles, anti-vehicle mines, flooding large areas & coverings obstacles with heavy defensive fires are systems NATO forces already use. NATO replaced AP mines with these strategies in the 1990s because it was better.

Finland, Baltics & Poland can already use anti-vehicle mines, it was never banned. They are now withdrawing from the anti-personnel mine ban by conflating the military results from anti-vehicle mines. People are using results from a non-banned weapon to justify using a banned one.

So a lot of people that will cite “effectiveness” of landmines in Ukraine are actually referring to anti-vehicle mines. Again, there has been no presented evidence that anti-personnel mines have made any significant difference, only anti-vehicle mines.
