Using a pseudonym for privacy does not impact the merit of what is being said. Many of the worst larps/grifters use their real names to lend an air of credibility.
Some pseudonyms talk a lot of nonsense, but you need to evaluate what is being said rather than who is saying it.

A handful of people are using the Bitcoin blockchain to store arbitrary data like JPEGs. This is a misuse of the protocol which is intended to be a financial network. BitTorrent is far better suited for distribution and storage of data deemed sufficiently important.

Today I stepped down as a mod on r/bitcoin.
I haven't been active on Reddit for years, and will be even less active with the recent API changes.
I may have been the only person to mod both r/bitcoin and r/btc (not at the same time). 😂

Regarding the large boost in subscribers to r/Bitcoin this past few days, it's pretty much guaranteed to be automated, aka fake accounts. There's no other explanation. Daily unique visitors does not reflect any such boost.
