As @FIFAcom remains silent on its accessibe ticketing for the @FIFAWorldCup, we've written to the @UN_HRC special rapporteur on the rights of people with disabilities with our concerns. Fans with disabilities are not being listened to & will literally pay the price as a result.

In November 2022, @FIFAcom President infamously & shamefully declared “Today, I feel disabled.” True inclusion requires action. It’s time for FIFA to move away from populistic statements and respect its own commitments.

Alarmingly, accessible tickets are already appearing on FIFA’s resale platform in category 3 for the final for 12,000 USD, several times their face value. Accessibility Tickets can be bought & resold via the resale platform, by anyone, without requiring proof of eligibility.

FIFA is also denying free companion tickets with accessible tickets. This in effect doubles the cost for a fan with a disability & defies international standards. Fans that need a companion must pay at least nearly 14,000 USD to follow their team across the entire competition.

For example, a supporter with disabilities of Austria faces ticket prices of up to USD 450 for their group match vs Jordan. Meanwhile, at the 2022 World Cup, accessibility tickets cost 10 USD, including a free companion.
