A piece I wrote in 2019 outlining some of my reasons for opposing the #HolocaustMemorial by Parliament. I lost my grandparents in the Holocaust; this is a subject close to my heart, but I sincerely believe this is the wrong place, design & content.

Why Is Everyone Getting a Prenup? https://t.co/yN5jwdSSNd It's American but much of it applies here. Why won't our government legislate for prenups? Law Commission has prepared the Bill.

People used to whisper about prenups in scandalized tones. But now, young Americans want to ‘normalize’ them, writes Kara Kennedy.

Thinking especially today of my 22yo distant cousin, British-Israeli Yosef Guedalia, who was killed by Hamas fighters while trying to save residents of Kibbutz Kfar Aza on 7 Oct. He helped evacuate injured residents before returning to fight the gunmen. What an absolute hero.

Unapologetic - indeed, no national apology for endangering more lives by recognising Palestine, failing to stop antisemitism, and taking every possible anti-Israel action.
A new permanent National Holocaust Memorial & Learning Centre beside Parliament is the right idea, in the right place, at the right time. It will be a bold, unapologetic national statement. Let’s fulfil the promise I made a decade ago, get behind it, build it, & be proud of it.

It is quite extraordinary to me that as virulent antisemites are allowed to roam the streets of central London week after week, the government is determined to push ahead with a huge Holocaust memorial right next to Parliament. What do they think is going to happen exactly?
Outside Downing Street, last night. The triangle gesture means "I back Hamas". Yes, the abduction, rape, torture, and mass murder of Jews - for being Jews - really is their cause. Sadiq Khan needs to retire his "London is a bastion against hate" bromides.

Sadly, recent hate events have made this book even more timely and important
Delighted to say that my new book, ‘Never Again? How the West Betrayed the Jews and Itself,’ is now an Amazon bestseller. Delighted but also sad that events have made it so essential. Get your copy here: https://t.co/viXxs4h5vJ

Nothing about hate marches or the recognition of Palestine, which does not accord with International Law and on which he must have advised
Tonight, the Attorney General Lord Hermer KC attended his synagogue to share in the grief of the Jewish community and offer the support of this government. In this video, he makes clear that antisemitism has no place in society and the government's commitment to driving it out.

A shocking and profoundly depressing piece by @matthewsyed. “..the motivation for being here was obvious, potent and implacable. The hatred of Jews. I heard conspiracy theories (October 7 was a false flag operation), blood libels, and the pervasive view that the Manchester

They hid plans for congestion charge in Oxford until after the May elections. Now, the LibDem county council can't even be bothered to inform Oxfordshire residents the scheme is starting, until just before its start date. Ps: the permit website is awful. https://t.co/YeBJln6d77

Not all Oxfordshire residents will receive a leaflet regarding the upcoming congestion charge in Oxford.

The Prime Minister struck the wrong notes in his message re Manchester stabbings. No, Jewish refugees were not welcomed here, they were interned during the war and also barred from mandate Palestine. It’s not more police protection that’s needed

But the picture is of a Chanukah menorah, a very different religious festival. Like showing an Easter egg at Xmas.

Sadly it’s never a day for “celebration” least of all today when sympathy for the Manchester synagogue killings is called for.
