The Neepawa Banner & Press has received the unofficial results form the Town Council by-election held Wednesday, July 16. There were 360 votes cast out of a possible 3,109 votes. That equates to a voter turn-out of approximately 11.6 per cent.

Work crews repaired the line at the @TownofNeepawa plant and by mid-morning were fixing the line at the Hwy. 5 location. Staff said there was sufficient water in the plant to keep the system operating at reduced usage rates & the system should be back up & running by mid-day.

Early Sunday morning, @TownofNeepawa maintenance staff reported that there had been two major breaks in the water intake line. One of the breaks was just south of the Water Treatment Plant and a second break was in the west ditch of Hwy. 5 near the Lily Nook.

Due to a major water line break, As of early Sunday afternoon, water restrictions remain are place for the @TownofNeepawa. At 12:29 a.m. on Sunday, the Town issued a warning asking water customers to limit water usage.
