My kids are the age of those who stormed the beaches. They are free people. Free to vote in fair and free elections. Free to be students who can work hard to pursue their dreams. Free to speak, think, worship as they wish. Blessed to live in this great country. I am grateful.

So very saddened by this news. Katcho was a friend to all, a statesman, an effective leader, a family man, and a kind heart. That doesn’t say nearly enough about him. I am so grateful to have known and learned from him. Rest in Peace, Katcho.

Genuinely curious: you probably have an opinion about Gov. Newsom or this year’s Prop.13, but anyone have an issue w/the state’s chief election officer attending a rally supporting one side of an initiative the votes on which he’ll oversee?
