this is a fine line though. you can very easily wind up teaching your kids to be timid and self-conscious and afraid of being themselves. you always gotta keep that risk in mind and be careful how you approach them
That lady who said she was teaching her children to not be annoying and to recognize when they are being annoying was absolutely right. a lot of your parents did not teach you when you were being absolutely insufferable or annoying and you need to pick up on that asap.
