Take mass transit they say. The 6 train has three homeless gentlemen on this train car where the stench is stifling. Vomit on the floor and a person screaming at everyone, “Look at me and I’ll punch you.” Yet they tax you $9 if you want to drive a vehicle. Shame.

The past several weeks, we’ve seen a growing number of encampments in District 3, with several along the 6th Ave corridor in Chelsea/Flatiron. The encampments are growing and the conditions are not sustainable for residents, businesses, or the individuals living on our sidewalks.
