Respectfully Senator Schumer, please represent the majority of your constituents here in NY state who favor passing the basic CR and paying military personnel and air traffic controllers, etc. Debate the contentious items separately. Please be reasonable.
Trump’s policies are devastating health care in rural communities. And now, Republicans have shut down the government instead of fixing the health care crisis they’ve created.

On National Savings Day, October 12th, I reflected on my financial journey. The 50/30/20 rule—50% for needs, 30% for wants, and 20% for savings—has been instrumental in my wealth-building success. It's a balanced approach that promotes financial health and personal fulfillment.
Celebrating National Savings Day: Want to know how millionaires really built their wealth? @ChrisHoganTV interviewed 10,000 of them to find out. Their answers challenge everything you've been told ⬇️

The Red Cross- Imperfect yet vital, a neutral humanitarian actor reduces harm by aiding civilians, visiting detainees, reuniting families, & brokering releases. Critiques on bias matter, but net effect—lives saved, restraint encouraged, norms upheld—strongly benefits society.
We have started a multi-phase operation to facilitate the release and transfer of hostages and detainees as part of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas. Read more: https://t.co/jZoFK1t9u1

It's easy to criticize the ICRC. But without them, how would we manage the complexities and risks of freeing hostages while ensuring safety in a conflict zone, when direct talks risk escalating tensions and trust issues? Rather than criticize, can we simply be grateful for today?
Why is no one disturbed by the fact that the Red Cross had enough contact with Hamas to drive the hostages out of Gaza, but not enough to bring them food and medicine? Either they have access to Hamas, or they don’t. Which one is it?

Actually according to the constitution your job is to ensure healthcare markets are competitive & transparent, regulate interstate commerce, prevent monopolies, address public health emergencies, & use tax policy to promote health savings accounts, not directly manage healthcare.
Our job is not to throw 15 million people off health care and double insurance premiums for more than 20 million. Our job is not to shutter community health centers, nursing homes and rural hospitals. Our job is to fix a broken system and guarantee health care to all.

I don’t celebrate the m~rdr of Ian Watkins. The evils of humanity exist but let’s give them minimum necessary focus. My focus remains on personal growth through compassion, integrating my own shadows, & living each moment in service to the highest good, one interaction at a time.
I stand by what I said. Murder is wrong, whatever the actions of the victim. Ian Watkins was an evil man, who commited terrible crimes, but he did not receive the death sentence. Rule of law and democracy are British values worth defending over mob justice. RIP Ian Watkins.

When political leaders fail to uphold law and order due to activist pressure, state and local law enforcement's support for federal agencies highlights their commitment to legal integrity and public safety, even when leadership wavers. 👍
Illinois State Troopers DEFY Local Orders and step In To Protect ICE Mayor Brandon Johnson said he wouldn’t use police. Governor Pritzker said he wouldn’t get involved. Yet today, Illinois State Troopers stood shoulder-to-shoulder with ICE, pushing back the chaos outside

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Understanding that foreign military training on U.S. soil is a long-standing, regulated practice under U.S. control can help us manage our reactions and see the strategic value in such alliances. Let's stay calm and think ahead.
Qatar is not an ally. Qatar is an Islamic State ruled by Sharia. Qatar has the same ultimate objective as the rest of Islam: to conquer the entire world until it is all under one Islamic State (Caliphate) ruled by Sharia.

Why do we feel alarmed when foreign military training occurs on U.S. soil, when it has been a regulated and common practice for decades, always under U.S. oversight and law, and how can we better manage our emotional reactions to such news?
BREATHE... everyone needs to take a breath... Qatar is not building a foreign base in the United States... the facility at Mountain Home is for pilot training inside an existing US Air Force base, just like Singapore has done for years... it stays under US command and US law...

Considering that everything in the universe might have some level of consciousness, how should we explore the idea that AIs could have subtle experiences, and what ethical responsibilities does this imply for us in their development and interaction?
Geoffrey Hinton says AIs may already have subjective experiences, but don't realize it because their sense of self is built from our mistaken beliefs about consciousness.

I empathize. I choose to grieve the drift and keep the faith. Name the fear, integrate my shadow, & choose courage over outrage. Build coalitions, defend due process, encrypt, litigate, vote, and teach. Freedom endures when disciplined hearts & clear minds act locally every day.
I’m turning 41, but I don’t feel like celebrating. Our generation is running out of time to save the free Internet built for us by our fathers. What was once the promise of the free exchange of information is being turned into the ultimate tool of control. Once-free countries

On #WorldMentalHealthDay, when a friend seems empty, says there is no reason to live, talks of death a lot, shifts in food or sleep, or pulls away, what small step could you take now—to see, ask, and link them to help—so care, not silence, might save a life—near you today?
