🚨New in Lancet Neurology: Autopsy study of aducanumab in #Alzheimer’s shows superficial cortical AΞ² cleared, but deeper persists. ARIA showed inflammation+ microinfarcts in leptomeningeal/penetrating vessels. Some path is PET-invisible. @DrNeuroChic https://t.co/gAStfXlsTX...

[1/x] The journey to preventing brain diseases is long... filled with internal battles, road bumps, and uphill climbs (both waysπŸ˜‰). As I begin the daily check on our @NIHAging R01 grant status, I find that apparently brick walls are also now a part of the journey.

The only appropriate role of a health insurance corp is to pay bills, not to manage care. The only appropriate role of an employrer is to pay employees and taxes, not to manage care. The only appropriate decision-makers in health care are patients and their own doctors.
