Learned a lot from this pod w/ @shaylekann @RobGramlichDC Amazing/infuriating stat: Currently ~2 terawatts of renewable energy generation capacity stuck in the interconnection queue…for reference ~1.25 terawatts of TOTAL generation capacity on the US grid right now. 😬
The U.S. power grid is clogged, and it's holding back the energy transition.⚡️💡 In this episode, @shaylekann and @RobGramlichDC talk through the three major challenges of transmission: congestion, interconnection and buildout.

This project is so cool. The completely off-grid microgrid can run off solar and storage alone - a unique aspect for this size of system. We're seeing more and more this trend where utilities can't deliver enough power on time to new developments in CA. https://t.co/RBCvbDCga0
