One of the warm ups we do is with a frisbee. Great for when is 5 degrees and snow outside. Force them to get athletic. Soft hands. Closing speed. Read. Dive. Communicate. This gets the heart racing. Great way to get the boys warm before practice. They love it. Something different

I think I’ve listened to 18 podcast in the last three days. My go to guests to listen to are @ButchBaseball29 @chuckbox1969 @CoachSheets3 Butch Thompson, Tim Corbin. My goal this year is to develop those guys that aren’t very good right now. I think sometimes we can pay too much.

Before I was blessed to become a head coach, I felt like I had to be perfect or create the perfect environment for my players. After almost a year, I’ve started to realize I’m not going to be perfect. No one is perfect. I guess when you have the responsibility to create something.

Take it for what it’s worth. I’ll watch the derby and others like me as well. However, will the kids watch it? The average fan? I’m thinking probably not. 3 of the tip 5 HR hitters not in. It’s a problem

Call me old school if you want, but I still believe that if you throw the ball over someone’s head while playing catch you should go get it. It drives me NUTS when players make bad throws during warmups and just pull another ball out of their pocket instead of going and getting.
