The 2025 Research Symposium will be held on Wednesday 3 December in Birmingham and abstract submissions will be open from April to August. We know lots of our members are carrying out incredible research, and we'd love to see you there. Find out more on the BDA website.

This year, Eating Disorders Awareness week is highlighting how eating disorders can affect anyone. Misconceptions around what eating disorders look like can mean people delay seeking help, decreasing their chances of a full recovery.

Facilitated by our Chair, Sian Taylor, & Tanya Rumney, this course is suitable for anyone in the dietetic workforce with supervision responsibilities or considering such a role. It is also valuable for those receiving supervision who want to make the most of sessions.

To celebrate this years Student Volunteering Week our Social Media Officer Holly tells us what she loves about volunteering for the BDA ARFID Sub-Group.

There is a misconception that tube feeding may not be helpful for ARFID patients. Tube feeding can ensure patients meet their nutritional requirements, and can take some of the food related stress away from meal times, which can lead to an increase in the amount of food trialled.

We've been evaluating some of our most recent BDA classroom courses and it's been great to see the positive impact they are having. You can book onto the course by going to the event calendar on the BDA website.

Check out the new 5 a-day a different way resource in our 'Members Only Resources' section of our ARFID sub group web page. This resource has been created collaboratively with the BDA Learning Disability sub group.

Not long to go until our next Dietitians ARFID sub-group virtual meeting!. Members should have now received an email from Arfid@bda.uk.com with the link to join this months meeting.

Results for the competition will be drawn at random on 2nd January. The survey has been emailed to attendees and closes on 31st December 2024.
