We held a lovely service this morning to mark the twinning of Rainhill with Latour-en-Woëvre in France and to remember Rainhill airman 2nd Lt Thomas Alfred Jones who was shot down and killed over Latour-en-Woëvre in WW1. The villagers buried his body and still tend to his grave.

Rainhill British Legion will be holding a special service at the war memorial to remember VJ Day and to pay tribute to all those who served in the Far East and the Pacific. The service starts at 2pm followed by refreshments back at the Ex Services Club. Everyone is welcome 🇬🇧
