What a great way for students to explain and practice voting as a way to make choices and decisions! 🇺🇸.
This week we learned all about voting for candidates. We learned a little about Duck, and we learned a little about Grace! Went into a voting booth with our voter registration card and made our vote count!! ❤️🤍💙 @VaughnElemFISD

Shoutout to these amazing first graders for diving into systems with a real-world example! 🌍 Systems are everywhere, and every part plays a vital role in making the whole work. THIS is how we help students grasp key themes and concepts in science! 🔬 Way to go @MissLee1St!! 👏🏼.
Having so much fun learning parts of a system! We divided into teams and started with a disassembled flash light, and had a race for who could put it back the quickest! .Each part of our flashlight helped run the whole system! Without one, nothing will work!

We hear your feedback and value your input! We’re glad that having kits at your fingertips is supporting science learning. Look 👀 at your students. Engaged and curious — all while using tools to make their observations. Kudos to you for setting up this learning experience! 👏🏼.
Studying properties of matter! 🔎⭐️ So thankful for the HMH supplies provided for our students with our new science curriculum !!! @VaughnElemFISD @ci_elem

Students also rise to the challenge when their curiosity is sparked! 💡✨.
An inquiry into… conductors and insulators of electrical energy! Students tested various materials to determine patterns that showed WHY certain materials were conductors. Their ideas never cease to amaze me! @BrightAcadFISD @fisdelemscience

It's great to see first graders tackling challenges together during their science launching lessons. I bet they found great solutions as they practice their communication skills as a team!.
THE FLOOR IS LAVA🌋🐻 These scientists talked about how to communicate and work together in teams during science & then put it to the test trying to save 15 bears from Lava!!! Look at these creative ideas!!! @VaughnElemFISD

This is what CURIOSITY ✨ looks like! Scientists need to know their tools, and what better way to start the year than by exploring them hands-on? @PhillipsElem, can’t wait to see how you level up ⬆️ science this year!.
We had so much fun exploring science tools today!! Our scientist are ready to experiment and learn this year!! @PhillipsElem #FISDlevelup @fisdelemscience @MrsRLovesTech
