We have a new article out in @EGU_SEarth 🙌🙌 #mylonites The take home message is that mylonites can spontaneously develop periodic domains of porosity! https://t.co/x6h3taJVQm

Sad to hear this news today. The conversations I had and the help Mervyn gave me during my time at ANU and ETH were so valuable.

Great work @jamesgilgannon. Congratulations. So nice to see that my samples of my PhD from 15 years ago can still be used to generate such great results. #shearzones
like shear zones? check out my 1st PhD paper with @HerweghMarco and @AukeBarnhoorn: Dynamic recrystallisation can produce porosity in shear zones in GRL soon but here is a postprint for anyone that is interested postprint: https://t.co/TGUXhXBJAU

Dear #funding bodies: if we need to spend weeks @home #COVID19 please extend deadlines for #grants & #fellowships. The ability to work with young children at home is low which will make difficult to meet deadlines by parents (mostly women) at early career stage. @AcademicChatter
