I was honoured to be at the launch of the FES's policy brief. The brief has a + message: it is still possible to hold credible elections in Dec 26 if there is pol will and pol decisions are taken. NEC could then go ahead (eg voter education). But the time to act is NOW.

Today I visited Renk/Joda Border Post in South Sudan. I was very impressed by the hospitality of the people and the work of the humanitarian community in responding to huge humanitarian needs. Great thanks to @IOMSouthSudan for organising the visit!

Gender based violence is prevalant in the private sphere, in public, at the workplace, online. It is horrible. It must end. No excuses. Under no circumstance. Let us turn the 16 days into 365. And do MUCH more for women empowerment and women leadership.

I was honoured to assist at the opening of this crucial training in issuing civil documents to vulnerable people. Far more than a technical training, it is about social identities and access to public services. All merit an address, IDs and protection. No one should be stateless.
@EUinSouthSudan, with our SS partners and #UNHCR, strongly supports the right to nationality and civil documents. Very thankful to Min.A.Teny for today's opening of the Training on Nationality Documentation. Our common objective is civil documents for all and no one stateless.

There was a spirit of hands-down, let's-do-it in the room. I hope this training will contribute to sound practices and advance the roadmap. Its purpose is to get South Sudan out of the grey list and stengthen the int' financial system: a win-win, but it needs collective efforts
